Shred and Evade is a spin on Skate and Destroy of Thrasher skateboarding magazine. We’re all influenced by our past and Shred and Evade came to me from thinking about the early days of mountain-biking in Cornwall.
It was normal to have to ride trails where you weren’t allowed to be because they could be some of the best riding. This was a time before we had trail centres and land management policies with permissive access to MTBers.
Shred and Evade is literally ride then scarper! I remember gamekeepers, fishermen, landowners all getting ratty. Walkers moaning about riding on public footpaths must have been the most common.
Anyway, Shred and Evade takes this further (too far with the Huges 500D and mac10? – Yeap!)
